Score Description
1Death
2Persistent Vegetative State: The patient exhibits no obvious cortical function.
3Severe Disability: The patient depends upon others daily for physical or emotional needs.
4Moderate Disability: The patient is able to function independently but has a disability i.e. ataxia.
5Good Recovery: The patient is able to resume normal activities even if there are minor neurological deficits.
