Cincy Prehospital Stroke

Face exam: Have the patient smile or show their teeth.
Arm exam: Have the patient extend their arms in front of them and count to 10 with their eyes closed.
Speech exam: Have the patient repeat a phrase such as 'The sky is blue in Cincinnati'.

Criteria
Face Exam Normal face exam: Patient moves both sides of their face equally.
Abnormal face exam: One side does not move as well as the other.
Arm Exam Normal arm exam: Both arms move the same or both do not move at all.
Abnormal arm exam: One arm does not move or drifts down.
Speech Exam Normal speech exam: The patient says the correct words without slurring.
Abnormal speech exam: The patient is unable to speach, slurs the words or says the incorrect words.

Total Score= 1 point per abnormal exam
