Early Goal-Directed Therapy (Sepsis) Program

Vasopressors

1. Goal MAP>=65mmHg(1C).
2. Initial pressors of choice are Norepinephrine and Dopamine centrally administered (1C).
3. Epi, phenylephrine and vasopressin are not the initial pressor of choice (2C).
4. Epinephrine is the first alternative when poorly responsive to NE and DA (2B).
5. Low dose DA should not be used for renal protection (1A).
6. Pts requiring pressors should have an arterial line inserted as soon as possible (1D).
