Early Goal-Directed Therapy (Sepsis) Program

Diagnosis

To diagnose the etiology of sepsis, perform the following:

  1. Two or more blood cultures prior to antiobiotic initiation (1C)
    *One set of Blood Cx should be percutaneous
    *One Blood Cx from each vascular access device in place for >48 hrs
  2. Imaging studies as needed
